Wired Next Fest 2016 Florence: forth edition
The Wired Next Fest 2016 Florence is organized by Wired Italy from 17 to 18 September 2016 at Palazzo Vecchio and Piazza della Santissima Annunziata in Florence. It is a festival of innovation in the economy, science, politics, entertainment and culture. You will find numerous speakers, artistic performances, 3D printing laboratories, drones in flight, video games, movies, documentaries, speed date about work, coding marathons and workshops for all ages.
It will be more than 100 speakers who will participate at the Wired Next Fest 2016 Florence and they will come from around the world, including: the Mayor of Florence Dario Nardella, Evgeny Morozov – writer and theorist of new media; Scott Fahlman – computer technician and creator of emoticons; Paolo Barberis – responsible for the Digital Agenda of the Government and advisor for innovation of the Prime Minister; Luciano Floridi – philosopher of information, Professor of Philosophy and Ethics of Information at Oxford University, Research Director of the Oxford Internet Institute; the director Luca Guadagnino; Alice Rawsthorn – designer, writer and columnist for the NYTimes; Zerocalcare – illustrator; Massimo Bottura – the best chef of the world 2016 according to the ranking of the “50 Best Restaurants”; Luca Parmitano – astronaut; Lorenzo Thione – the father of Bing, the Microsoft’s search engine, co-founder & chief executive officer of The Social Edge; Torrick Ablack alias TOXIC – one of the mythical figure of graffiti that did excite the New York of the ‘80s; Joris Evers – vice president of Netflix and the actor Pierfrancesco Favino.

The entrance to the Wired Next Fest 2016 Florence is free but you must register on Wired’s website by clicking here.
A great concert will complete the already rich calendar of festival. On Saturday, September 17th the whole city is invited to an night of electronic music entirely free, with some of the most important artists of national and international scene in Piazza Santissima Annunziata. It starts at 20:00 with Khompa, Joan Thiele, M + A, Playroom and a DJ set by Jon Hopkins.
