Women protagonists in the twentieth-century in Florence is one of the most interesting exhibitions in program at the Costume Gallery of Palazzo Pitti.
The project, realized in occasion of the total rearrangement of the museum allows you to make a real journey through the 20th cent. through clothes and accessories belonged to women capable to distinguish themselves in various fields of social life, art and politics.
Twentieth-century women protagonists as creators of clothing and fashion, or capable of emerging especially for the way to wear a dress or accessory, also defining thus their own personality.
Among the big names in the exhibition we remember Rosa Genoni, Fortuny, Franca Florio, Maria Cumani, Antonella Cannavò, Cecilia Matteucci Lavarini, Susan Nevelson, Lietta Cavalli, the clothes worn by Anna Rontani or those sported by Patty Pravo investments during the Sanremo Festival.
Do not miss the jewelry in non-precious materials by Flora Wiechmann Savioli, the bijoux by Angela Caputi, the special corner dedicated to brides and the fascinating weaving of the girls of Rwanda revisited by the designers.
