Fire and ice in Florence

Fire and Ice in Florence, at the elegant Palazzo Strozzi, is the interesting exhibition of Russian avant-garde, Siberia and East on the scene starting from next Saturday, 21 September until Sunday, 19 January, 2014.
The goal of this international project is to identify and recognize the fundamental importance that the Eastern and Eurasian sources have had on Russian modernism and for authors such as Léon Bakst, Alexandre Benois, Pavel Filonov, Natalia Gončarova, Wassily Kandinsky, Mikhail Larionov and Kazimir Malevich.
So, from this point of view becomes basilar the analysis of the Neolithic stone figures, Siberian shamanic rituals, popular prints Chinese, Japanese prints, theosophical theories and anthroposophic and Indian philosophy in the creative process of painters, writers, sculptors and thinkers.
A journey through history that raises the question of the relationship between East and West in the processes of artistic creation of a precise historical, geographical and temporal section, however, fully aware of the value of cultural trail from the Eastern reality.
