Exhibition Michelangelo in Florence a tribute to the genius

The exhibition of Michelangelo in Florence is the event scheduled at the Galleria dell’Accademia until 18 May 2014, an appointment made on the occasion of the 450th anniversary of the death of the great artist.

Reacquainted with Michelangelo is a journey through the artistic dimension, an exhibition aimed to help people understand how his works have been and are still important today for photographers and painters.

And it aims to answer this question by analyzing the photographic production of ateliers and professionals in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, offering an exhibition with works by Eugène Delacroix, Auguste Rodin, Piot, Édouard-Denis Baldus, the Alinari, John Brampton Philpot.

And the photographic medium takes on extraordinary importance, becoming first of all a means of documentation and then the link to allow experts and scholars to test their theories.

We remember for example the photo by Joseph Pagano to the Pietà di Palestrina, David Finn and Aurelio Amendola.

To come to the present day, with references to Frank Horvat, Youssef Nabil, Kim Ki Duk, Thomas Struth and Candida Höfer.

The long-awaited Exhibition of Michelangelo in Florence can be visited by payment from Tuesday to Sunday , from 08:15 to 18:50.
